Tech Tip VZ Commodore Turn Signal Indicator Problem

Fault: Indicators staying on when locking doors with remote.

Cause: A common fault with the VZ Commodore is that the turn signal indicators will stay illuminated after the vehicle has been locked via the remote. This can result in a flat battery upon return to the vehicle as well as the melting of the plastic indicator housing/lens.

Remedy: Contact your local CoolDrive EFI Division for more information or to make arrangements for repair. The repair is only a fraction of the cost of replacement as new keys and programming will not be required. The BCM module is located directly above the accelerator pedal.
